Founded over 130 years ago, the Caterpillar brand has grown by developing clothing, footwear and accessories known for their robustness. Originally, the brand wanted to respond to the demands of workers who were looking for comfortable, durable shoes and boots that were resistant to external aggressions (shocks, climatic hazards).

It then diversified into the design of equipment, tractors and other machines, adapted to the most extreme environments.

This model is a derivative of the iconic original Intruder. It benefits from a super resistant rubber rim and offers a remarkable waterproofness. Only a discreet coloured border adds dynamism to a classic line, which inspires robustness.

Directly inspired by the world of work, the Intruder Galosh admirably blends streetwear codes with comfort and safety requirements. The result is an overall design that is both solid and reassuring.

The Intruder Galosh is an urban sneaker that combines work and streetwear. Its (gigantic) sole would not look out of place on a construction site!

You have to be able to live with this industrial look, but once you put it on your feet, you can understand why CAT Footwear’s designers decided to go this route: the Intruder Galosh gives an original and offbeat touch to an ensemble that is sometimes too structured. It is a welcome reminder that streetwear is directly linked to the work environment. Like a bridge between the world of work and relaxation, these unusual sneakers form a link between street and workwear.

CAT Footwear’s Re-powered capsule collection reinterprets the brand’s classics. The Intruder model was released in 1996. At the time, it met the demands of the market: the search for style was probably not as predominant as it is today.

In order to adapt to an increasingly sophisticated clientele, Caterpillar has had the intelligence to base its new collection on iconic and timeless pieces. We appreciate (or not) the “professional” look of these sneakers, but we must admit that it respects the history of the brand.

The Intruder Galosh is available in black or white. The latter colour is clearly our favourite. It breaks up the massive look of the sneaker by adding a touch of chic elegance.
